MOBILITY
MOVILIDAD
The Technical College IES Poblenou offers its students the possibility to continue their education in other European schools and carry out labor training practices in European companies within the progammes Erasmus and Leonardo.
We also welcome students from other European schools who want to complete their education or want to carry out labor training practices in Barcelona or surroundings.
We have cooperated with the Lycée Ampère de Lyon for years. Our school is a member of Netinvet, a European net of schools which teach the branch of International Commerce.
The foundation BCN FP also cooperates in the mobility of our students. Barcelona is an attractive city for students.

The Technical School IES Poblenou, located in 206 Ramón Trueta Street, in Barcelona, is devoted only to technical teaching, medium degrees and upper degrees.
There are 450 students and 38 teachers.
There are three technical branches, each one has three specialties:
- Administration and Business:
- CFGM Administrative Management.
- CFGS Administration and Finance.
- CFGS Secretary.
- Commerce:
- CFGM Commerce.
- CFGS International Commerce.
- CFGS Commerce and Marketing.
- 3. Computer Science:
- CFGM Micro-computing Systems and Networks.
- CFGS Administration of Computing Systems.
We also offer several PQPI (Starting Professional Qualification Programmes) courses:
- Assistant for assembling computing equipment.
- Sales, Office and Customer's Attention.
- Office Work and General Administrative Services.
- Auxiliar en comercio y atención al público.
METHODOLOGY
IES Poblenou has adapted the school programme to allow our students to carry out the training practices in different companies in the third trimester, when the students have finished their academic syllabus.
In the past years in some courses we have used the system ‘5 in 6’, it is to compact 6 trimesters (two school years) in five trimesters, increasing the contents, this allowed by the Department of Education of Generalitat de Catalunya.
CERTIFICATION
With the purpose to offer to our students from other European countries a certification of the subjects studied here we will give them an official diploma with specific details of number of hours, code numbers, qualifications and title.
Relating the training practices or FCT, after finding a post, we draw up an agreement in Catalan, Spanish and English (or other language) and the student, the company and the school must sign it. In order to be approved in other countries, we use the system Qbid to certify training practices.
ERASMUS STRATEGY
From the origin of IES Poblenou, in 2008, it stated in its educational project a main objective: offering the students an education of quality to help them to develop their professional lives in the best possible conditions. We consider that new technologies and foreign languages are two key issues to cope with the challenges in our current global society.
French, English and German are offered in our school.
We bet in favour of mobility and interchange.
Our school has set up several agreements with the support of Generalitat and other institutions to develop an effective quality plan.
We have been members of Netinvet, before known as Recomfor, a European network of schools to promote the international commerce. Nine countries are joined into this network: Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Holland, Portugal and Slovenia; in all these countries, the organization has about 50 schools and 150 enterprises that offer possibilities of doing training practices to students
IES Poblenou has reached an agreement with the Lycée Ampère de Lyon, making easier that our students of International Commerce carry out activities and training practices abroad. These activities also involve teachers, in the past teachers of both schools have exchanged their classes, helping to transfer the knowledge between Barcelona and Lyon.
Through Netinvet we have also exchanged students with the school CECOA, en Lisbon, Portugal.
We also work with "Fundació BCN Formació Professional", a non-profit organization, financed by the town council of Barcelona, its aim is to reach the social and economic development of the city, through the management of interests and activities of students, teachers and enterprises.
Thanks to this organization some students has been doing training practices in the past in some European countries: Germany, Belgium, France, Sweden and Italy.
The projects "Extra for Teachers" and "Principals Mobility Exchange" have permitted that some teachers have visited schools in Germany to know their methodology. We also received a some teachers from Göteborg to know the introduction of IT in our school, and the same happened with a group of teachers from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
In 2009 our school was selected in a contest by the Ministry of Education to take part in an innovation project related to mobility. We worked in this project, called "Proyectando Comercio Internacional", together with the Lycée Luís Buñuel, a school from Paris. We made groups with students from both schools and visiting one another on different dates.
The teachers of IES Poblenou have often taken part in activities organized by Generalitat of Catalunya: meetings of Catalan and French schools, training to guaranty mobility of quality, workshops and so on.
Summing up,
- We choose our partners through Netinvet, Fundació Barcelona FP and the advising of Generalitat.
- We have mostly worked in the area of Rhône-Alpes and Paris and also in other European countries.
- We usually choose students from courses of one year for training. Our teachers will also prepare their visits and follow their progress.
